SPECIAL OFFERINGS
OCTOBER 4th – THE NEIGBORS IN NEED
Offering (NIN) is a special mission offering of the United Church of Christ (UCC) that support ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. The program allocates one–third of its funds to the Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM) while the remaining two-thirds support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, direct service projects, and grants. We will be collect the NIN offering on Sunday, October 4th as part of World Communion Sunday observance.
DIAPER SUPPORT WANTED
We have been doing our Diaper Ministry since 2016, and since we are one of a few places in the Kenosha area for families to get limited quantities of diapers. If you would like to support our Diaper Ministry you can either:
- Donate size 5 or 6 diapers by dropping them off at the church at 9918 12th Street, Kenosha, WI. (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday from 10 AM to 2 PM)
- Financial donations can be made by writing a check made out to “Somers United Church of Christ” and we will purchase the diapers. You can either bring it to the church or mail to Somers UCC, PO Box 183, Somers WI 53171.
